Dr. Hnilica established the Allergy and Dermatology Clinic at the Pet Wellness Center to provide a high service, cutting edge resource for patients in the East Tennessee and Smoky Mountain Area.

Dr. Keith A Hnilica graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1993 and pursued further training in dermatology, teaching, and business at Auburn University, the University of Georgia, and the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Hnilica has lectured internationally and in 47 of the 50 states. He is the author of the leading dermatology text book which has been translated into seven languages including Mandarin Chinese.

After visiting most of the US Veterinary Colleges and over 400 veterinary clinics in the United States, Dr. Hnilica became focsed with establishing a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic that would provide exceptional service by focusing on the best possible care for our veterinary patients.

Dr. Keith A. Hnilica
     Dr. Keith Hnilica graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1993.  After graduating, Dr. Hnilica completed a small animal internship and a residency in Dermatology at Auburn University.  He received his Masters of Veterinary Medicine and became a board certified member of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1997.  Dr. Hnilica was selected into the University of Georgia’s Lilly Teaching Fellowship Program and in 2007 he completed an MBA program at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Hnilica was on faculty at the University of Georgia for 3 years and at The University of Tennessee for 8 years. Dr. Hnilica is the author of itchnot.com, an author of Small Animal Dermatology; A color Atlas and Therapeutic Guide 2nd Ed, which has been translated into 7 languages.
 
      In 2009, Dr, Hnilica left the University to develop a progressive referral and learning center focusing on cutting-edge medicine with exceptional client service and the absolute best patient care possible. The Pet Wellness Center and Lakeside Veterinary Academy are located in the Tennessee Smoky Mountain area and can be found on the web at www.PetsLivingLonger.com.
